Gaslight goes to Service…

Who says field trips are just for school kids.

Part of what we do at all Gaslight locations is source locally. From produce, proteins, flowers for the dining room, cheese, spices, to beer on tap. We recognize that we are a small & local company and so we try to pay forward the local support and love. It’s important.

Being aware of the community & having a finger on the pulse of wIMG_1362hat’s going on and who’s producing what goes into running a successful and well-rounded business (especially hospitality based business). It’s about making connections deeper than just a card-swap at a networking event; it’s about sharing an experience together & imprinting an image in the mind of another business and their employees.

That’s why we go on field trips: to make a deeper connection with other people & businesses producing the ingredients and products that we love sourcing right around the corner and in our backyard.

And, what better field trip to take a group of thirsty adults on than to a brewery?

Service Brewing CompIMG_1369any is the newest addition to the expanding local market for craft beer here in Savannah. Located in an old paper & chemical company warehouse down by the Savannah River, Service Brewing is “a veteran owned and operated craft brewery dedicated to honoring those that have put their lives at risk and their country and community first…their dedication to their cause is unique and their approach to craft beer is equally unique”.

IMG_1370With the Gaslight company     owners, Brand Manager, General & Assistant Managers, & Kitchen Management of each location in tow, we met the Service team & chatted about beer, brewing & business over a private tasting & tour.

It was a great way to spend a Wednesday afternoon & get to know each other a bit more. If you’d like more info on Service, please visit their website at www.servicebrewing.com or, even better, visit them! They’re super cool folks located at 574 Indian Street in downtown Savannah, Georgia.

Cheers!
